This 4-hour course is designed to help both Building Code Officials and Professional Builders in the Kansas City area navigate the complexities of the language in the ICC Evaluation Service Report number ESR-1895..

How does enrollment work?

In order to enroll please follow all the directions on the Johnson County program brochure, you will be sent a confirmation email from Johnson County. The course will begin promptly on November 1, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. (CST). After each section of the course there will be a quiz, and after all sections are completed, you will have passed the course. We will then report your 4 credit hours to the state.

Can I Attend this Course on a Mobile Device?

No, this year the course will be in-person instruction at the Overland Park Convention Center in Overland, Kansas.

Who will be the Instructor?

Roger Axel, CBO, is a retired Building Official with 30 years code administration/inspection experience including single and multi-family residential, educational, industrial, business and mercantile occupancies. Roger has multiple certifications from the State of Minnesota and the International Code Council; International Code Council contract instructor; instructor for Housing and Building Inspection Institute at UW-Madison College of Engineering. He is an instructor for MN Licensed Residential Contractor continuing education seminars and a past Chairman, and Executive Officer of the Association of MN Building Officials.
